Art Battle Brockville here I come!

I've watched some videos to see how it is done...I guess I am ready as ever. Art Battle Brockville, tonight at the Marianne van Silfhout Gallery, St. Lawrence College. This is Brockville's first 'Art Battle'- live competitive painting!! Come watch professional and emerging artists battle it out in time limited painting rounds! Who will win? It's up to you!! Come vote! All art will be auctioned at the end of the evening. :)

Admission to the event has been provided by the Marianne van Silfhout Gallery Community Outreach Program. There will be a cash bar at this event.

I did a little practicing this afternoon. I will use mostly credit cards to paint with, but bringing a few brushes too. For this event I will draw from my visual experiences of the countryside around me. I am always inspired by the naked trees reaching their branches to a streaky winter sky. I also love the cocky crows that sit atop the trees enjoying the view. Cold, cold winter solstice almost here as well, casts a spell over the landscape.

I was also intrigued by the wintry fog on Wednesday as I drove home from Ottawa. Wish me luck!
